I have similar thoughts because I prefer my unedited poems. Especially because I notice that when I edit my poetry I tend to edit out the personal and replace the exposed bits of myself with composites and archetypes.

I also love this understanding of poetry as a visual art, so this post inspires me to lean more into editing the visual form and structure of the poem instead of the personality.
