Pushing Past Patterns, Patriarchy, and Embracing the Emperor’s Moon

The energy of this week is one of the most potent that I have felt in a while because, in the Western hemisphere, today is the Super Full Moon in Aries. As one of the many lunations that square the final stages of Pluto in Capricorn and illuminates the north node in Aries, individuals with planets in Libra, Capricorn, Aries, and Cancer are feeling the effects of this full moon. And, as a Cancer Moon, Capricorn Stellium, and Libra rising, it’s been a time (to say the least).

In honor of all that cardinal energy, I have called this full moon the Emperor’s Moon. The Emperor is a tarot card commonly associated with Mars’s energy in the traditional Rider Waite Smith tarot. Astrologically, Mars is the planet of action and initiative or the warrior planet. It is most comfortable in Aries and exalted in Capricorn, so the square between the two reflects this moon.
