I always question whether I’ll keep watching “Love is Blind” every season. However, I always return because Netflix is great at analyzing its audience and creating drama. It seems like each new season addresses many of the issues we’ve seen in previous seasons while bringing up some new concerns. Also, as someone who has enjoyed all of Netflix’s dating series set in different countries, I was excited to compare “Love is Blind: UK” with the current season of the original American series.

Once again, both series have improved on one of the primary issues from previous seasons, which was the age and maturity level of the contestants. Across networks and platforms, most dating shows recruit from a pool of people in their early twenties, which doesn’t reflect the current trends in dating or the fact that many people are getting married later in life. Consequently, I was excited to see that both seasons included an older cohort and fewer younger contestants.
